Local School children have helped Doncaster Council plant flowers and pick litter in Thorne & Moorends today as part of their ‘Cleaner, greener, this is my Doncaster’ campaign. Students from Green Top primary first helped the council plant flowers in the raised beds at the Bridge Street car park this morning (Thur 9 Feb). West Road and Marshland primary then helped to pick litter in the ‘bull ring’ and surrounding streets in Moorends in the afternoon. The flowers were donated by Lidl and Richard Law flower shop. Enforcement officers were also active in the town with fines being handed out for littering, dog fouling and parking offences.
